Gentle healing for little ones.
Paediatric acupuncture for infants, children, and teenagers in Nairobi a natural, non-invasive approach to your child's health and wellbeing.Paediatric acupuncture is a gentle, child-focused adaptation of traditional Chinese medicine, and it looks quite different from acupuncture for adults. Designed for infants through to teenagers, it uses extremely shallow needle insertion, acupressure, or non-needle tools to balance energy, relieve discomfort, and stimulate the body's own natural healing mechanisms, without causing pain or distress.
Sessions are calm, child-led, and always tailored to the individual child's age, temperament, and needs.
What can paediatric acupuncture help with?
Paediatric acupuncture may support children experiencing:
Sleep problems and difficulty settling
Fussy eating and feeding issues
Digestive issues including constipation and reflux
Childhood asthma and respiratory conditions
Weakened immunity and frequent illness
Bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis)
Skin conditions including eczema and rashes
Anxiety, stress, and emotional dysregulation
Why choose paediatric acupuncture?
Children respond quickly and often remarkably well to acupuncture, their systems are more open and responsive than adults', which means results can come faster and with fewer sessions.
Acupuncture supports your child's health by:
Triggering the body's own self-healing mechanisms
Stimulating the production of natural endorphins
Calming an overactive sympathetic nervous system
Supporting emotional regulation and nervous system resilience
It's a natural treatment for children that works alongside, or instead of, conventional approaches, without side effects. Hannah is one of very few practitioners offering paediatric acupuncture in Nairobi and Kenya, making her practice a trusted choice for families seeking holistic children's healthcare in East Africa.
What to expect from a session
The initial consultation lasts 60 minutes and includes a full discussion of your child's health history, current concerns, and goals. Follow-up sessions are 30 minutes.
Sessions take place at Hannah's home clinic in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, in a calm and welcoming environment designed to put children at ease. Parents stay in the room throughout and for very young children or infants, feeding, holding, or gentle distraction with toys during treatment is completely fine.
Hannah is trained to make sessions feel safe, fast, and for most children, surprisingly enjoyable. The child is always in control.
