Ancient medicine. Lasting results.
Traditional Chinese medicine and Five-Element acupuncture in Nairobi.
Treating the root, not just the symptom.
Acupuncture is a practice rooted in thousands of years of traditional Chinese medicine. It works by inserting fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of Qi (the body's vital energy) through pathways called meridians.
When Qi flows freely, the body is in balance. When it becomes blocked or depleted, pain, illness, and emotional distress can follow. By working with specific acupoints, acupuncture restores that flow, activating the body's natural capacity to heal itself.
Hannah's approach: integrated acupuncture
Hannah practises both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five-Element Acupuncture, two classical styles of East Asian medicine that together offer a remarkably complete framework for healing.
TCM is highly effective at addressing acute physical symptoms — pain, inflammation, digestive disruption, hormonal imbalance. Five-Element Acupuncture (also known as Wu Xing) goes deeper, working with the constitutional, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of a person's health. It organises diagnosis and treatment around five archetypal forces — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water — and asks not just what is wrong, but why.
Together, they form what practitioners sometimes call Integrated Acupuncture: the yin and yang of the same ancient system. Symptom relief and root-cause healing, working in tandem.

What to expect from a session
Sessions are 60 minutes and held at Hannah's home clinic in Kileleshwa, Nairobi. The space is calm and private, designed to give you the stillness your body needs to respond to treatment. Home visits can be arranged upon request.
Your first session will include a full consultation to understand your health history, current symptoms, and what you're hoping to address. Treatment follows from there — most clients notice a shift after the first session, with more lasting changes building over a course of treatment.
